Easter Morn

I hope that I can convey on paper the thoughts that are running through my mind and heart this day.
March 23 1976 at 7:45am a beautiful baby girl entered this world who we named Trudi Marie.
She returned home way to soon to her God, January 25, 2007
Last night I found, not by accident, "The Sound of Music" on tv. Many may not realize that that was the movie that Trudi watched until she could quote it when she was in Elementary school. As I watched it again I realized that she patterned her life after it. She could be found talking to the animals as though they could understand what she said.
The outdoors and nature was where she could be found when life became stressful for her and she alwys found renewal and strength there.
Her life was molded around what her Heavenly Father wanted her to do. It was "thine not my will be done." We saw that on the day she died as she was willing because of the way she had lived her life to go back to God and knew that she would be greeted with, "come home my child, you have completed your journey the way I wanted you to do."

Easter lets us all know that as Christ rose so shall she and we also never to be separated again.

Her headstone was placed this week and I include pictures here and invite those who want to to come and visit. Also a picture that I took this morning.

I wanted to share the words to one of Trudi's favorite songs.
"Consider the Lilies"

Conside the lilies of the field,
How they grow, how they grow
Consider the birds in the sky,
How they fly, how they fly.
He clothes the lilies of the field
He feeds the birds in the sky.
And He will feed those who trust in Him
And guide them with His eye.
Consider the sheep of His fold
How they follow where He leads,
Tho' their path may wind across the mountains,
He knows the meadows where they feed
He clothes the lilies of the field.
He feeds the birds in the sky.
And He will feed those who trust Him
And guide them with His eye.
Consider the sweet tender children
Who suffer in this earth.
The pains of all them He carried
From the day of His Birth.
He clothes the lilies of the field,
He feeds the lambs of His fold.
And He will heal those who trust Him,
And makes their hearts as gold.

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL

grandkids

A few weeks ago I had the fun of tending the grandkids as their day care provider had a baby and needed some time off. We played, outside with Cedar and barbies with Sydney. I had to show off how cute they are and took pictures.
Cedar looked so cute in Sydneys bed and Sydney in her school uniform.
She is doing well and as a proud grandma I want to report that her extra spelling word was scientist and she got it right. Yes, she is only in kindergarten.

new day

am a little slow but here is the next entry. Another goal was to walk ten thousand steps a day. As you can see I did accomplish this a week ago. Just in case you did wonder if there really was a treadmill here is the proof also.

The exercise routine did really well for two weeks then took a little detour this past week as I have been sick with the flu and a nasty cold, but I plan on being back on the treadmill next week.

I also took the dog for a walk which was a challenge but we made it.

new beginings

March 5, 2008
Here I am creating my own blog page.
I decided to do this because I plan to use it as I record my progess toward being able to jog the 5K in September.
If it is down in writing I am hoping that I will not slack off because all the world will know if I do.
At the present time my weekly schedule is as follows:
Three days a week I walk for 2.7 miles, this will increase 1/10th of mile until I reach 3.5 miles. Then I will start jogging 5-10 minutes till I am jogging the whole way. Then if it is not September I will work on my speed.
On these days I do the exercise program that my trainer, Rachel has given me.
On the other three days I use the pre-set programs on the treadmill whic are 30 minutes long. I then do strength training exercises from all the material that I have.
I am doing my best to eat a healthy diet of 5-6 servings of fruit and vegetables and cut down on the fat and sugar.
I would like to lose about 8lbs. This is not the main goal, being able to complete the 5K is.
All this week, so far, I have done all the above, except for the zingers that I had on Tuesday.
